Hello, my name is Zoe Clark! I am a senior, and our publication’s head photographer. I took photography my freshman year, and have been in Crier since sophomore year. I have a lot of fun taking photos and connecting to students and teachers through our work. I am also on the MHS varsity swim team, which I have been a part of since my freshman year.

UP AND OVER Running in the 100M hurdles event, Aliciana McGuire, senior, jumps one of the hurdles. In every hurdle event, each runner has their own strategy to compete. “I’m working on getting my three-step,” McGuire said. “Right now I’m four-stepping, so I’m alternating legs instead of jumping with the same leg.”

FINAL BOW Within the next two years, the entire auditorium and lobby will be reconstructed and designed. Backstage, changes will also be made to some of the equipment that MTC uses for their productions to make them safer, such as the fly space stairs. This is currently planned to be done summer of 2025.

DEEP BREATH Swimming butterfly for her relay, Addi Sanow, senior and captain, takes a breath off of her stroke. During Munster Relays on Dec. 2, many teams from around the area come to compete in a meet consisting of only relays. “I love Munster Relays, it’s a really fun meet where you can swim events that are not usually at the high school meets,” Sanow said. “The sportsmanship is great, everyone cheers for each other regardless of what team you are on.”

WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND? Speaking into the microphone, Kameryn Hubbard, junior, mock-records an episode of her podcast, “Teenage Audience,” in the Fab Lab’s podcast room. She typically records the episodes using a microphone that connects to her phone. “I love being able to express my beliefs on certain topics by talking to other people about it because while helping myself, I can help others, and this is the perfect way to do it,” Kameryn said.

CALLING ALL GARDENERS Explaining future plans for the Environmental Club, Mr. Michael Bakker, science teacher, tells the club members about gardening opportunities. The club is trying to learn more about what they can do, so they spent their Nov. 10 meeting talking about importance of gardening. “We are going to talk to the botany class about using the greenhouse, and we want to clean up the courtyard outside of my classroom that has planting boxes,” Mr. Bakker said.
