Muslim Culture Club was introduced to MHS in order to encourage students to learn more about Islam, specifically the cultures and celebrations within it. The next meeting is on Tuesday, Oct. 25 in room N114 at 3:00p.m.

“My goal is to clear up stereotypes, show how important the month of Ramadan is for us and show the different cultures surrounding Islam, and how we can help the school environment improve for both Muslims and non-Muslims,” Anum Minhas, junior and president of the Muslim Culture Club said. Anum also wants to educate on how Muslim students feel towards racism and to make the club a safe space.

Mrs. Abuali, club sponsor and WWMS english teacher, also said how in the club they want to encourage students to learn about the Muslim culture and the cultures and celebrations behind it.
