As the track team hits the ground running, runners prepare for Indoor State while looking forward to the outdoor season. Currently, the team has attended the Warsaw Invitational and is preparing for a meet at Portage on March 7. With many indoor meets approaching, senior captain Kaitlyn Bowman gives advice to her teammates to keep them encouraged for the season to come.
“If you put in hard work and effort, there is never an end-all be-all; there is always a chance to be better,” Bowman said.
In order to prepare for these races, the team practices everyday after school leading up to meet days.
“Before every track meet, we have recovery days to make sure our bodies are healthy and strong to compete at the highest level,” Bowman said.
