As of Oct. 4, the school board voted and approved a two year contract for the Munster Teacher Association, which both increased pay for teachers and raised starting salaries. Among other benefits from the Munster Teachers Association Collective Bargaining Agreement, many coach and sponsor positions received an increase in pay, and health insurance costs were diminished.

“I am very happy that we were able to do a lot for teachers this year,” Mrs. Ingrid Wolf, school board member, said. “It was very much deserved. I would also note that none of this would be possible without the referendum that was passed in 2017 by our community giving us needed funds for our district. Munster voters told us they wanted to support our teachers and we have tried to honor that every year. We have the best teachers and our citizens know it.”
